What’s New at the Library
Pre-school Story Time: We will restart Storytime in early fall. Check for new day and time.
This program is aimed at 3-5 year olds but all are welcome.
Free Family Movie Night: 3rd Friday of each month at 7:00
Bring your whole family – most movies will be rated G or PG with an occasional PG-13. The library will announce the title of the movie 2 weeks before the scheduled showing. Please, we ask that parents do not leave their small children unattended during the movie.

General Information
The Homer Community Library offers a wide range
of programs and services. The Library carries over 12,000 volumes of books for
adults and children, large-print books, audiobooks, music, movies, puzzles and
magazines. We also provide free books for elementary school students through the
Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program.
The Library offers public computers
with wireless internet, word processing, graphic design, presentation, photo
retouching and spreadsheet software and printing and copying services. See the
librarian for additional information.
The Library is part of the Lincoln
Trails Libraries System (LTLS). Your library card provides access to all of the
libraries in the LTLS. If you cannot find a specific title in the Library, ask
the librarian to borrow that material from another library for you. Or, you can
borrow items by accessing the LINC catalog on the LTLS webpage. Inquire at the
Library if you have any questions.
Board meetings are open to the public,
take place at 7:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month, and are held in the
Library.
Programs
The Summer Reading Program runs 6 weeks in June and July
for kindergarten through 5th grade.
We are currently looking for someone to head our Library Book Club. See the librarian for more details.
There is an ongoing
Reading Incentive program. Ask the librarian for details.
The Library hosts Special Programs occasionally. Past programs have included:
painting classes, gardening classes, family reading night and family game night.
Watch the local media and posted announcements in the Library for additional
information. If you are interested in presenting a program or have a suggestion
for future programs, please contact us.
Support the Homer Community Library
There are many ways you can be
a part of the success of the Homer Community Library:
Purchase a Homer
Community Birthday Calendar. All proceeds from this yearly fundraiser support
the Library. Volunteer your time. Private gifts can help the Library while at
the same time benefit you financially. Plan now to leave a gift to the Library.
Want to honor or remember a special person or occasion? A gift to the Library is
a meaningful way to do it!
