Christmas is a great time to be in Homer! The first Saturday of December Santa comes to town. After touring Homer in the fire truck he heads to the Village hall to visit the kids. While at the Village Hall the parents have a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping, and win a door prize. Last year we had 22 vendors! The HCIA has a cookie walk for that sweet tooth, and a soup and sandwich lunch is served by the Catholic Chuch. The Hall is decorated with several Christmas trees. It is a very festive and fun day for all. Last year Santa needed to get back North before Christmas and he traveled through Homer to get there. He was escorted by several lighted floats! We are hoping that he comes through Homer again this year. Keep checking back to see if we are on his route home. Christmas in Homer what a great place to be!!
